I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
While their dads were in meetings all day at a medical conference, Haley and Scott formed a fast friendship. They spent a week together, playing tennis, diving off cliffs, and enjoying their time away from home. The two stayed connected throughout college. When it was time for Scott to interview for medical school, Scott headed to New York, where Haley was attending NYU. While in town, he asked her to be his tour guide and managed to turn his one day interview into a five day week with Haley. At the end of the week, they shared their first kiss. Almost 3 years later, Scott asked Haley to be his wife while on a trip to Hawaii. Of course, she said yes! The two were married in June and it was my joy to be their wedding photographer at The Preserve at Canyon Lake.
Haley’s henna designs included Scott’s name.
I love that Haley had both her mom and her grandma help her get ready on her wedding day!
After Haley’s bridesmaids got the first peek at her, it was time for her and Scott to share a first look. It’s the best chance to fully embrace the day together and freely react to each other without the pressure of an audience.
One of my favorite things about this wedding venue, The Preserve at Canyon Lake, is the indoor chapel with all the natural light! It’s a great option for Summer weddings!
Scott’s grandparents held hands throughout their wedding ceremony and it was so cute! Scott shared that his grandparents have been married for 60 years and gave the best marriage advice!
They’re married! Those just married vibes are my favorite to photograph on a wedding day!
Haley and Scott were announced into their wedding reception at The Preserve at Canyon Lake and went straight into their first dance. This lift with her Louboutin heels popping out in front of their sweetheart table is my favorite photo from their first dance!
Guests headed outside for a champagne tower pour and cake cutting. The cold sparks added to the ambiance and celebration!
Haley and Scott – thank you so much for inviting me to be your wedding photographer at The Preserve at Canyon Lake! I loved every minute with y’all! From meeting for the first time over coffee in Georgetown to photographing your New York City engagement session, to Haley’s bridals, to the big day, every second with y’all was filled with fun! All my best!
