7 years ago, Kyle met Lauren.  He and his group of friends had crashed her girls’ night.  He had recently gotten back from a deployment and wasn’t really looking for anything serious.  However, he knew a good thing when he saw her and the two started dating not long after.  7 years later, to the day, after meeting, Lauren and Kyle vowed forever to each other on Veterans Day.  Now, he’ll have two reasons to celebrate! It was a joy to be their Thorndale wedding photographer.

After Lauren’s mom helped her into her dress, Lauren shared a first look with her grandparents, bridesmaids, and her dad.

Kyle’s gift and note to Lauren on their wedding day left her in tears. He gifted her a ring.  The band was Lauren’s mom’s original wedding band.  The stones were from Kyle’s mom’s wedding band.  He designed a custom ring for his bride made from their mother’s wedding rings.  It was a sweet gift that brought her to tears.

Lauren and Kyle tied the knot at First Christian Church in Rockdale.  This is the same church that Lauren’s parents were married in.

Each wedding guest was welcome to pick up their own, personal hanker-chief for their happy tears! There were a lot of tears on this day!

As the bridal party made their way down the aisle, the song that was playing was sang by Lauren.  It was pretty sweet that it was Lauren’s voice Kyle was listening to as his bride walked down the aisle of the church to him on their wedding day!

Lauren and Kyle love being outside and in the country.  He even proposed on her grandparents’ ranch while they were deer hunting.  Knowing that, I asked them if they wanted to visit that same ranch for a few romantic portraits on their wedding day.  It was a risk (as we still needed to make it to the reception on time AND there were so many clouds, that we may have lost light before we even got there), but I’m SO GLAD they trusted me enough to say YES!  Just look at these next several images!  The light is perfect and glowy AND it’s at a sentimental location for their love story!

The wedding reception was held in Thorndale.  As they walked in, guests could see the wedding photos from past generations.

Since Kyle proposed while hunting deer, their wedding reception in Thorndale had antlers throughout the decor.  One of Lauren’s first phone calls to share the big news after they got engaged was with her grandmother.  When her grandmother asked her how the hunt went, Lauren said she “got her a good one!”  Even though they both wanted to finish the hunt that morning, they were both too excited to sit still for very long.

Once the cake was cut, it was time for Kyle and Lauren to uncork their wedding wine!  It was a raspberry wine that they made themselves and have been saving for this day!  After the Grand March, Kyle and Lauren danced their first dance as husband and wife!

I love the twirling dress shots!  They also had The Debonaires play at their wedding!

Lauren and Kyle, thank you so much for inviting us to be your Thorndale Wedding Photographer!  We had so much fun with you and your loved ones!  We especially love all the surprises throughout the day that made it even more sentimental!  Congratulations on becoming husband and wife!
