Welcome
Sometimes, timing just doesn’t work out. Other times, you have to make your own timing work for you. The second was the case for me for Tony and Amy’s wedding day. A friend of mine, Click Chick, needed a second shooter. Among other obstacles to help her out (which I never shared with her, as I was totally excited to shoot with her), my camera was locked up at my church the morning of the wedding!! After making a few phone calls/texting some people who have the key (BEFORE the sun had even risen for the morning), I was finally able to get in to get my camera. It was a little bit of a scramble that morning, but everything came together just in time and I’m so glad I was able to witness Tony and Amy’s Special Day. Here are a few of my favorite shots from their Spicewood Vineyards Wedding:
After Amy and the ladies of the bridal party were dressed and ready, we headed to the venue and found this beautiful set up:
Then, we found the groom and had just a few minutes to chat before their portraits. His love and adoration for his now wife was so apparent. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when the groom is head over heels in love with his bride and wants to sing it from every rooftop! This is how Tony and Amy reacted during their first look:
Tony kissing, hugging, and whispering sweetly to his bride was his TRUE reaction. I love when couples choose to do first looks, as they get to share this special moment together and can share their honest emotions with each other, without everyone watching and trying to act like they think they should.
After their first look, we smoothly transitioned into their romantic portraits. Another perk for couples who choose to do first looks is that there is more time for photos and, thus, more photos of them on their wedding day, like these:
After the bridal party portraits were taken, we hid the bride out of sight and waited for guests to take their seats. Then, the BEST part happened. Tony and Amy became man and wife!!!
One of the sweetest things about Amy and Tony’s vows to each other was that they each mentioned the same story, the same moment in time that they both knew they were meant for one another. They each mentioned this story in their vows, but neither had known before what the other had written.
After Tony and Amy sealed their vows with a kiss, the after party got started! They had a ton of people on the dance floor all night and it was so much fun!
Thank you, Click Chick, for inviting me along to share this very special day with these two very beautiful, inside and out, people! An even bigger Thank You to Tony and Amy for letting me share their gorgeous wedding images!
