Anthony took Laura to the movies one day at the Alamo Drafthouse. As the screen lit up, the movie did not play.  Instead, photos of Anthony and Laura started to drift across the screen.  At the end of the slideshow, Anthony got down on one knee and asked Laura to be his wife.  When she said yes, the lights in the theater came on to reveal that Anthony had rented out the entire theater and filled it with their closest friends and family, so they could all hold a piece of their proposal story and to share in the joy and celebration that immediately followed.

Since we shot their engagement session in the middle of summer, The University of Texas campus was nearly empty!  We hardly had any issues with photo-bombers, which rarely happens!  It was a nice treat to be able to shoot in a usually-crowded place without many people around.

These two are both teachers at the same school and have gotten most of the wedding planned this summer before school starts back up in a few weeks!  That’s so impressive!  

Speaking of Laura and Anthony working together, that is actually how the two met.  Anthony wasn’t fond of the idea of dating a co-worker, but Laura knew it was worth the risk.  The risk paid off!

Since the two got engaged at the Alamo Drafthouse, that is where we ended their engagement session.Laura and Anthony, thank you so much for being such a fun couple to work with!  I had a great time with y’all last week and know your wedding will be just as laughter-filled!
