Vintage Villas Wedding Photographer: Allison & Mike

Mike and Allison met at a New Year’s Eve event and Allison admitted the next day to her parents that she had met someone special. Planning their wedding around Mike’s school schedule, the two got married at Vintage Villas this past weekend. While they were hoping for an outdoor wedding ceremony with sunshine, Allison joked she didn’t place her order with Amazon in enough time for it to be delivered. More than just keeping an upbeat attitude, she said that if, at the end of the day, she and Mike were husband and wife, nothing else mattered. What a fabulous attitude to have!

Allison’s dad walked her across the lawn at Vintage Villas to the Bridal Suite after her make-up was finished. It was good practice for the walk they would be making in just a few short hours. Mike and Allison walked back down the aisle as husband and wife to “Throne Room Theme” from Star Wars IV: A New Hope! As soon as I knew Allison and Mike were incorporating some fun elements into their wedding, I sent her the link to this Star Wars Themed Wedding. With the torrential downpour of rain happening outside (and the TORNADO watch issued for our area), we were forced to keep all photos inside, but these two rocked it out!

The groom’s cake was definitely a crowd favorite!! Mike’s mom gifted the newlyweds the engraved cake serving set.

Allison’s dance with her father was shared alongside Mike’s dance with his mother.

Instead of doing a bouquet toss, Allison gave her bouquet to the winner of the anniversary dance. These two have been married almost 56 years! I thought it was a super sweet idea to gift the two with the most marriage knowledge with the bouquet instead of tossing it for the single gals! Mike and Allison exited to a shower of Lavender! It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day!
