I'm Mylah, a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, capturing timeless and intentional memories that celebrate marriage.
Welcome
While they were still in High School, Josh and Hannah met their other half, but didn’t know it yet. They worked together at a paintball field and she would drive him home after work. This new routine put them into Best Friend status pretty quick. However, after they graduated, Josh moved away to play hockey. Shortly after the move, he realized that he didn’t just leave his best friend in Texas, he left his other half. He moved back and the first thing he did was ask Hannah to be his girlfriend. She said yes and the two tied the knot this past Saturday. It was so much fun being their Vista on Seward Hill wedding photographer!
Hannah gifted her bridesmaids these cute robes and champagne flutes with their names in rose gold! After the drinks were poured, Hannah’s best friends toasted to her new life with Josh!
After she was dressed, Hannah’s bridesmaids had the first peek at the bride! Then, her dad came in and there were SO MANY TEARS! I honestly don’t know who cried more: Hannah, her dad, or her bridesmaids! It was such a sweet moment!
Hannah and Josh opted for a first look on their wedding day at The Vista on Seward Hill! It’s a great opportunity to see the person you’re committing to, and spend time with them, on the day you make it official! They got some of those wedding day jitters out and then they were in the best mood for romantic portraits!
These two are so much fun! Josh did a spin for Hannah so she could see his full wedding day outfit!
This is one of my favorite shots of their day! Look at how happy they are!!
When it was time to propose, Josh and Hannah were visiting his family. He took her out to the Botanical Gardens over a bridge before he got down on one knee. She said yes and I love that their wedding venue mimicked that Garden feel!
One of the big bonuses for first looks is that the bridal party gets to have their photos taken before the ceremony. This means that the bridesmaids are fresh out of hair and make-up and they all get to head to cocktail hour to visit with friends immediately following the ceremony! Who doesn’t want to enjoy their own party?!?
They’re officially married!!! YAY!
One thing that I absolutely LOVE that they included was eating by themselves tucked away from guests. Weddings are so busy and everyone wants to congratulate the couple, that sometimes the newlyweds don’t get a chance to eat their own wedding meal! That was not the case for Hannah and Josh! Their sweet caterer made them plates to eat by themselves in this secluded garden. Without interruptions, they were able to soak in their first meal together as husband and wife! I love that they took the time to just be with each other and enjoy some down time on their wedding day.
Guests were invited to enjoy dinner under the chandelier lights on the lawn. It was such a nice night for dinner outside at sunset!
That chandelier is so pretty!!!
The daddy daughter dance gets me every time!
Hannah and Josh – thank you so much for inviting us to be your Vista on Seward Hill Wedding Photographer! We absolutely loved it! Your bridal party was so much fun! We loved that y’all took time to soak up the day with one another as much as you could!
