Darren didn’t win Katie’s heart when they first met.  She actually put him in the “not interested” box, but he didn’t like it there.  After working together for a while at a boot store, Darren and Katie started dating.  He knew pretty early on that she was the one he would spend forever with, but gave her a little more time.  At last year’s Christmas Stroll in downtown Georgetown, Texas, Darren got down on one knee and asked Katie to be his wife.  She said yes (along with some other colorful things – if you see these two, ask to watch the proposal video) and the two are planning a winter wedding in the same town they got engaged in.

Can we take a minute to talk about how cute Katie is?!?  I love her dress with BOOTS and she’s rocking some Kendra Scott earrings!

Even though it was 100 degrees on Friday when we took their Windsong Farm engagement photos, I liked having these sunflowers for a pop of color in their images!

This is one of Katie and Darren’s fur-babies, Brownie.  They said he was scared of dirt and would just want to eat grass during their session.  They were right!  Look how sweet he is!

This next image is for Darren’s sweet mama!  I think she bought this for them. 

They did a little slow dancing in the field and I felt like it should be included in a romantic county movie scene! 

Darren did an AWESOME job with Katie’s engagement ring!  It’s stunning!

Katie and Darren, thank you so much for introducing me to Windsong Farm!  It definitely was the perfect spot for y’all’s engagement photos in Georgetown, Texas!  I adored getting to meet your sweet (and GIANT) fur baby, Brownie!  Thank you for braving the heat and hanging in there!  I’m so glad it didn’t rain though and that the fifth time was the charm for scheduling y’all’s engagement session – FINALLY!
