Things I Love

Things I’ve loved this week:

– Love notes on the mirror from my Lovie

– Crock Pot Meals

– Pumpkin Spice Lattes

– Finding a house we want to put a bid on

– Brunch at Mozarts (one of my favorite spots in Austin)

– People wanting to get involved in the fight against cancer (it is October, after all – Breast Cancer Awareness Month)!

There are so many more ways to give back and get involved than cutting hair!  Dylan and I started running a few months ago, so the most natural way for us to give back and bring awareness to it is through running cause-worthy races together.  Here are a few upcoming races in the Austin area:

Race for the Cure

Dash for Dad (against Prostate Cancer)

Pink Heals (against Breast Cancer)

Don’t worry if you’re not into running (I have a very love/hate relationship with running), just check out the websites!  You can volunteer, walk it, and see what other events are being offered.  The Pink Heals in Round Rock also has a golf tournament to support the cause.  There are events going on all the time, so find an organization that supports something you love, visit their website and see what they have coming up!
